If you've ever wandered down Brunswick's Maine Street and thought, "This place just has a vibe," you're not alone. Now, the rest of the country is catching on.

Travel + Leisure has named Brunswick's iconic Maine Street the No. 4 Most Charming Main Street in the United States, placing it alongside some of America's most beloved downtown destinations.

What makes it so special? It's the little things.

Why Everyone's Falling in Love With Brunswick's Maine Street

Close your eyes and picture the tree-lined sidewalks, locally owned bookstores, cozy cafés, unique boutiques, chocolate shops, and restaurants where you'll find as many locals as visitors.

Travel + Leisure also gave a shoutout to longtime favorites like Frosty's Donuts, serving coffee and cinnamon twists since 1965, and The Big Top Deli, a go-to sandwich spot for both residents and Bowdoin College students.

Unlike many downtowns, Maine Street isn't trying to be trendy.

It just feels authentic. You can spend so many hours browsing shops, grabbing lunch, enjoying art, or just relaxing on a bench, people watching.

A Walk Down Brunswick's Maine Street Is Worth the Trip

Regular festivals, farmers markets, and art walks keep the street lively throughout the year.

For Mainers, the ranking probably isn't much of a surprise, like at all.
