If you are a Hobbit fan, then you are going to love Elevenses in Brunswick, Maine.
Hobbit fans have been waiting for Elevenses to open in Brunswick for a long time with anticipation building since May 2024. Coming up on January 11, 2025, Elevenses will open its doors.
There's a reason Elevenses is opening in Brunswick, Maine on January 11
The owners Nicole and Chris Juntura made the announcement on their sparse social media and told the Press Herald with a chuckle,
We’re big into the numerology over here.
They are taking over the old Kings & Queens barber shop.
What does Elevenses mean?
Elevenses is according to Wikipedia: a short break taken at around 11:00 a.m. to consume a drink or snack. The names and details vary among countries. That fits with the brunch-focused restaurant. They will also have some British traditional foods like a full English breakfast and Scotch eggs. Elevenses hopes to add an afternoon tea service.
Nicole told the Press Herald,
We’re trying to make it fun and feel special, but also accessible. We’re very excited to welcome the community and people outside of it who are traveling here just for this. We’ve had people tell us they’re going to take the day off from work (to come to the opening), so we’re trying to work really hard and live up to the expectations.
Brunswick is the perfect town for a Hobbit-themed brunch. It's quaint, cute, and has lots of beards.
