From Customer Service to CEO: Linda Ball Proves Maine Women Can Move Mountains
Maine women are so extremely powerful and highlighting one of our own as she becomes one of the few woman to lead Central Maine Power is electrifying.
According to the press release, Linda Ball has now officially been named President/CEO of CMP.
But, this is more then a career milestone. This reminds all of us that women, can do anything.
She’s been in the field for 30 years and this September reached the heights that only few have gotten to before her.
Linda’s Rise: From Customer Service to CEO
In the company's 125 plus year history, Linda is only one of two woman that has served as President/CEO. That is what makes this moment so special.
This all started for Linda as an entry level customer service rep at CMP’s sister company out of state. She answered phone calls, spoke to customers, and began her ascent through service, operations, and then leadership.
Each one of Linda’s strong steps showed her perseverance's and love for her job. Over time, Linda got pretty familiar with all the hardships us Maine residents face during storms and outages.
And that, is the foundation that has fully shaped Linda’s vision.
She’s like a magic wizard, modernizing Maine’s energy grid.
As she begins her new role, she’s leading CMP into the future of resilience and stronger, more powerful service for all Mainers.
Linda’s story isn’t just about climbing a ladder, she broke the ladder and built a new one, and then lifted the entire state with her.
In this modern day world where change is possible, Linda’s promotion is proof that change can also come from within, when it does, it’s better when it’s led by someone who knows the grid, the people, and the power we all have.
Our energy future in Maine just got a whole hell of a love brighter, because of Linda.
