Ed Sheeran surprised everyone at WBZ-TV in Boston when he walked through the studio door and onto the news set. Even more surprising was that he gave the weather forecast and was pretty good at it.

Old Phone Popup Bar in Ipswitch, MA

It wasn't just a random visit when Ed Sheeran arrived at WBZ. He was there to promote his pop-up bar called "Old Phone," which just so happens to be the title of an unreleased song that he played at the pop-up bar that was only open for one day on March 29.

In 2015, Sheeran got so tired of using his cell phone that he got rid of it. All the overwhelming contacts he had and texts he received are what led him to give up his phone completely and write a song about it.

Weather With Ed Sheeran

While he was at WBZ promoting his pop-up bar, he also stepped in for the WBZ meteorologist and delivered the weather forecast while wearing a shirt that said, "We are the weather."

Was this the most accurate forecast ever given? No. Was it entertaining? Most definitely yes. All in all, though, it wasn't bad.

After the weather forecast, he made his way out of the studio to prepare for his Old Phone Popup Bar. To get in, people had to find an old message on the phone that meant a lot to them and text it to a number on The Old Phone Pub website.
