Anjon's closed permanently in 2019, but John DiSanto is bringing it back next month.

John came into the studio to promote the opening with a special. Get a $50 certificate to Anjon's for only $25. But John was working the crowd and brought in his famous stuffed bread for everyone!

Stuffed bread with the Anjon's tomato sauce for dipping, was as famous as Anjon's on Route One in Scarborough. It was the most popular item on his menu, along with chicken parmesan and pasta with meatballs. To have John bring in freshly baked stuffed bread (still warm) was a smart move. We were hooked.

'It's important that it's perfect. I want the customer to be completely satisfied'

John has been working on getting Anjon's completely renovated and back open. As with most restaurant openings, it missed the mid-June opening. But John is hopeful it will be open in mid-August! So you can order that stuffed bread, with a plate of meatballs and pasta while you look out at the Scarborough Marsh.

The stuffed bread from Anjon's in Scarborough, Maine is just as good as it was 20 years ago.

I could have eaten all two feet of stuffed bread. It was that good. It was loaded with salami, pepperoni, and provolone and John brought enough Anjon's tomato sauce to dip every piece and more.
