Here’s Why Apple Pay Is Not Accepted at Walmart in Maine, New Hampshire
I can't tell you how many times I've gotten to the register in Scarborough, Maine, with a cart full of things only to remember that Walmart doesn't accept Apple Pay the way the rest of the world does.
If I'm lucky, I'll only forget my real wallet, not my Apple wallet in my car and can run outside and grab my card to pay.
However, there have been many times I haven't been that lucky, and had to leave an entire cart behind because I only had my Apple wallet.
Before you start saying, "That's your own fault", yes I know, but I'm trying to help you here!
Anyway, it's not only the Scarborough Walmart that inconveniently doesn't accept Apple Pay.
According to USA TODAY, there is not one single location across Maine, New Hampshire and the U.S. that accepts Apple Pay, and there's a reason.
Walmart has their own app that they encourage their customers to use instead, which actually does have its own mobile tap option, the news source stated.
What you also may not have known is the fact you can scan items as you're shopping with your phone for a "contact-free" checkout.
So there you have it.
Try to remember that you have to bring in your entire physical wallet when you shop at any Walmart location or download the app and forget about it.
Throw it into your last home screen and call it a day, so you're covering all grounds.
