There are countless amazing things about Maine, but one that tops the list is the fact that we definitely don't have a lack of delicious spots for food, no matter what you're in for.

We pretty much run the country when it comes to the best seafood. A lot of diners in the state top plenty of national lists. Italian, Thai, American Gourmet -- you name it, Maine has a great spot for it.

And that includes just a traditional burger.

Best Maine Burgers

There are almost endless spots for a delicious, juicy burger no matter where you're at in Maine. Portland has spots like Shays in Monument Square. Palace Diner in Biddeford was recently named as having the best burger in all of Maine.

And one iconic spot in Brunswick, which was recently named as having one of the best cheeseburgers in the entire country, just dropped either an accidental or intentional hint that it's close to opening up for the 2024 season.

Fat Boy Drive-In, Brunswick, Maine

It was just in March 2024 that the legendary Fat Boy Drive-In in Brunswick was named as having one of the best cheeseburgers in the entire country, but unfortunately, those burgers haven't been able to be consumed since the iconic spot has been closed for about a half year.

And while there's been no official announcement on when Fat Boy will be reopening for the 2024 season (for comparison, it opened for the 2023 season on April 22), a major hint (intentional or not) now appears on its sign.

Why else would Fat Boy announce it's now hiring and be encouraging interested future employees to apply online if it wasn't close to opening back up?

Based on last year's opening date, we could just be a couple of weeks out as of this writing.
