Gifford’s Free Cone Night is Tonight at Maine Ice Cream Stands

Gifford’s Ice Cream in Maine is saying thanks to their loyal customers, and may get some new customers with free ice cream!

Today, Thursday, April 18, is free cone night to celebrate National Customer Appreciation Day.

Get any one-scoop ice cream cone at their three participating family-owned ice cream stands. This year’s Free Cone Night is a special one. Gifford’s Ice Cream is saying thank you to their fans for their patience and support through a tough year, as the business recovered from a devastating fire at their Skowhegan plant.  It’s a gesture from the Gifford’s family to express gratitude for the community’s loyalty.

When can I get my free ice cream cone at Gifford's Ice Cream stands?

Tonight, Thursday, April 18, from 6-8 p.m. head to one of Gifford’s three family-owned stands in Bangor, Skowhegan, & Waterville:

• Bangor Family-Owned Stand at 1109 Broadway
• Skowhegan Family-Owned Stand at 307 Madison Avenue
• Waterville Family-Owned Stand at 170 Silver Street

The hardest thing you'll have to do is decide what flavor you'll get. There are 43 different homemade flavors to choose from. I always try to mix up what I get, and I always get the same thing because I love it so much. Their chocolate peanut butter is hard to beat.

I may just go wild and try some Muddy Boots (above!), since I'm pretty sure I'll be standing in the namesake waiting for my preview of summer. Gifford's made a huge comeback to have ice cream in stores and their stands. Thank you to everyone who had a hand in bringing this Maine staple back.
