You might want to try amazing desserts as your New Year's resolution.

Baked With Love is a boutique bakery at 345 Clark's Pond Parkway in South Portland. It's run by Elizabeth (Liz) Roberts who loves baking (it's in the name). She told Mainebiz that she started this adventure with her first birthday cake for her daughter. It was a sheet cake that looked like a bathtub with bubbles. From there, every year it got bigger and bigger. Everything is made from scratch.

Plus, they do custom-designed dessert tables for any occasion. As Liz told Mainebiz,

I really liked creating a variety of desserts and displaying them in a beautiful way.

The reviews on her website are glowing. The most common comment is that her desserts taste as good as they look!

She has such a great story too. So many people wanted her creations that in 2020, she and her husband built a commercial kitchen space next to their house. From there, the business just kept growing and growing. They knew they needed to find a bigger space. The space in South Portland had been vacant for years, and things fell into place. As Liz told Mainebiz,

Feeding people delicious desserts really makes them feel loved and that's what I really enjoy.
