I write this post with the heaviest of hearts, but I do know that Mainers are bred to want to help.

As we all know, Florida, North Carolina, Georgia, and many other surrounding states have been up against some of the deadliest storms they've seen in over a decade.

Most residents have just begun the clean-up process from Hurricane Helene only to be met with Hurricane Milton that ripped through Florida over the last few days.

According to USA Today, as of October 10, 2024, Milton has left 6 dead and 3.4 million people in the dark.

I can't even begin to comprehend how it's going to feel once these families are cleared to return back to their homes, or unfortunately what might be left of them.

Florida is very near and dear to my heart as I know it is to a lot of other Mainers as well, so I think I speak for a lot of us when I say I feel helpless at the moment watching the TV.

We can help though.

I wanted to list some of the websites and links you can use to donate to Florida's many hurricane relief programs to make the process easier for you and hopefully pass this on for the next person who might want to help a little bit.

Any of these links below will direct you to a reputable source that allows you to donate anything from $1 to infinity. Even for the animals. God Bless.
