Maine’s Most ‘Wee Coffeeshop’ Packs a Big Flavor Punch

Nevermind breakfast being the most important meal of the day, it could be argued that breakfast food is the best part of any day, no matter when it's devoured.

In fact, some of the absolute best, most favorited, and absolute go-to restaurants throughout Maine either put some kind of focus on breakfast, or are straight up diners.

Spots like Becky's Diner on Commercial Street in Portland and The Brunswick Diner on Pleasant Street in Brunswick are always talked about and usually always packed.

Even hot spots like Mister Bagel in Portland are getting in on the breakfast food action, but in a unique way, with their iconic Breakfast Pizza Challenge.

The point is -- Mainers and people from away love seafood in the 207, but also breakfast food. Which is why there's one more reason to celebrate, because even though it's self-described as a 'wee coffeeshop,' a local business that opened seemingly quietly in November 2023 is garnering a huge following.

Located 'in the heart of Harpswell' at 945 Harpswell Neck Road (right off Route 24 in Harpswell, according to Brunswick photographer Amy Voisine), the Itty Bitty Coffee Shop is easily becoming one of the areas most popular coffee shops and bakeries.

One of the highlights of Maine's newest coffee shop? Not only do they feature local products with pride (including using various blends of Crossroads Coffee Beans out of Rockland, Maine), but every delicious item available inside, from the "delicious coffee cake" and biscotti to the tahini chocolate chip cookies and blueberry banana bread are baked on-site and fresh in the kitchen.
