Here’s Where Maine & New Hampshire Can Find the Special Blue Milk From ‘Star Wars’ to Drink
As an adult, blue milk would make me want to cry. As a kid? I'd be jumping at this the same way I counted down the days for Trix to come out with their two-sided, "double the fun", two-flavors-at-once yogurt back in 1996. So for all the parents out there, get ahead of this promo before your kid has a meltdown when all the Star Wars blue milk was sold and they didn't get any.
Typically, all the bigger cool promos out there like this one don't quite hit Maine. They'll hit bigger surrounding cities like Boston, so it's cool to know that all the Maine kids who are Star Wars fanatics can participate in their hometown.
Count on TruMoo to promote such a cool concept. It's true, you don't have to travel all the way to Star Wars Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland anymore just to purchase blue milk. According to foodandwine.com, starting on April 17, 2024, the historic blue beverage will be available in all grocery stores across the country. Just in time for May 4 (if you know, you know).
Here's how Food and Wine describes the product,
"The TruMoo beverage is described as a vanilla-flavored milk tinted with blue food coloring. Blue Milk made its debut in the 1977 film Star Wars: Episode IV — A New Hope when Luke Skywalker was chatting with his Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru in their kitchen about a droid carrying an important message".
What is blue milk in Star Wars?
While the blue beverage only appears in a singular scene throughout the films, it's become a cult classic among fans of the force. According to Star Wars lore, blue milk is produced by female Banthas and is available on planets located on The Outer Rim, according to foodandwine.com.
So far in Maine, come April 17, you can find it at Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Walmarts, and wherever your local grocery store is, I'm sure.
