Boston Bruins Legend Zdeno Chara Headed to New Hampshire Hotspot on Thursday

You don't need to be an intense hockey fan or even a hockey fan at all to know the name Zdeno Chara. The man that was a captain for all 14 seasons that he was a member of the Boston Bruins, Chara and the B's may have parted ways in 2020, but his family remained here in New England, living right in Boston.

Chara Retirement

After stints with the Washington Capitals and New York Islanders following his decade-and-a-half with the Bruins, back in September 2022, Chara signed a one-day deal to officially retire as a member of the B's, simply saying that it was time to come home to Boston and be with his family.

According to WBZ, since his retirement, Chara and his family have remained living in Boston and plan to do so for the unforeseeable future. Which will make his commute to a New Hampshire hotspot this Thursday an easy one.

The Brook, Seabrook, New Hampshire

According to a press release from the New Hampshire Lottery Newsroom, on Thursday, February 15, from 6:30p-8p, the New Hampshire Lottery, The Brook, and DraftKings will all play a part in Chara appearing at The Brook for a very special Q&A to help celebrate four years of sports betting in New Hampshire.

According to the official website of The Brook, this event is free and will even culminate with Chara dishing out a pair of tickets to the Bruins game against the New York Rangers at TD Garden on Thursday, March 21.
