Here’s a Look at the Field for This Year’s Celebrity Golf Benefit in Maine
Celebrities from the entertainment, music, and sports worlds will be hitting the links in Maine for what should be one heck of a benefit tournament that kicks off later this week.
After two successful years of hosting the PGA Korn Ferry Tour, Shamrock Sports & Entertainment seamlessly shifted to a celebrity golf tournament last year. The event was once again hosted by the Falmouth Country Club, just a short drive from Portland.
The celebrity field that played in the inaugural tournament was highly impressive. Patrick Dempsey, Roger Clemens, Tuukka Rask, Mike Vrabel, Mike Eruzione, and Marshall Faulk were just some of the big names that teed off for golf supremacy and to benefit the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital.
It would be PBA pro bowler Ronnie Russell who took home the honor of winning the tournament. The six-time PBA winner can now claim a golf championship as well.
Are You Ready for Round 2?
The 2nd Annual Drive Fore Kids is kicking off this week, with all kinds of great events. It's back at Falmouth Country Club, and many new celebrities will join a bunch of returners from last year's tournament.
This year will also include a second benefactor, the Dempsey Center. Founded by Patrick Dempsey, the Dempsey Center is an incredible organization that helps to bring comfort, care, and services to those impacted by cancer. It's absolutely wonderful to see the Center now being a part of this wonderful event.
The tournament won't be the only ticket in town, because country star Chris Lane will be performing on Friday, June 21, right there at the golf course. Lane will be supported by local favorites 12 O/C. You can find more info on the concert here.
