Taco Escobarr Named Maine’s Best Spot for Cheap Eats — And It’s Worth the Hype
Right in the heart of Portland, there's a Mexican restaurant that keeps making national headlines, and for good reason.
It's called Taco Escobarr, and if you haven't been yet, you're definitely missing out.
Taco Escobarr is One of Portland, Maine's Most Popular Restaurants
Located right on Congress Street in the Arts District, Taco Escobarr has been serving up tasty Mexican flavors and a variety of margaritas for over a decade. It's the kind of place where lines spill onto the sidewalk most nights. Even lunchtime can be packed, but when the food’s this good, it’s well worth the wait.
However, this post isn’t just about the food, it’s also about the price of that food. And according to one popular website, this is where Taco Escobarr truly stands out.
Taco Escobarr Was Named Maine's Best Restaurant for Cheap Eats
The site Cheapism conducted some research into budget-friendly meals at restaurants across the country. The goal was to find the best meal under $15. They pulled reviews and recommendations from a variety of sources to create a list featuring one standout restaurant from each state.
As you’ve probably guessed by now, Taco Escobarr was the pick for Maine. The site noted that decent portion of the menu is priced under or right at $15. That includes taco plates, quesadillas, tortas, nearly all of the appetizers, and even the massive burrito, basically two meals in one. Taco Escobarr’s budget-friendly menu truly has something for everyone.
Is Taco Escobarr One of the Best Places in Maine to Get Tacos?
Now, let’s talk about those tacos for a second, because these beauties have earned their own recognition. The popular foodie site Eater included Taco Escobarr on its list of Maine’s best spots to snag tacos. That’s quite the compliment for Escobarr’s creative concoctions.
However, it’s not just the tacos that get all the attention. Just last year, the site LoveFood named Taco Escobarr the number one Mexican restaurant in the entire state. That’s some pretty significant love from another respected culinary source.
It’s been quite the run for Taco Escobarr. The national attention just keeps rolling in. I guess that means the crew over there is doing something, or maybe everything, right.
