Jackson was named after the President, Andrew Jackson in 1829, according to WMUR.

Jackson also has one of the most photographed spots in all of New England because of their famous red covered wooden bridge.  It's called the "Honeymoon Bridge," but no one really knows why.
Just a stab in the dark of why it's called the "Honeymoon Bridge," because maybe many people propose on that bridge.  It makes incredible Instagram photos.
If you get tired of the towns in New England close to your home, Jackson, New Hampshire is worth the drive, especially when the Pumpkin People are roaming the streets.
The WMUR report also says that there are year 'round events if you don't happen to catch the fall season.
