I heard an artist once say that there is no prettier place in the entire world in the Fall, than New England.
We could not agree more.
I grew up here in New Hampshire. You would think that I would be used to the bright reds of the Japanese Maple or the Yellows of a Great Oak, but it never gets old.
These pictures will show you the beauty of the White Mountains, which is arguably, our best feature.
One of the most scenic drives in the entire U.S. is the Kancamagus Highway. The road shows you mountaintops covered with brilliant foliage. The land through Crawford Notch and Franconia Notch is stunning in peak foliage.
Cheshire County, New Hampshire, has some hidden waterfalls and hiking trails with amazing views. I went to Keene State College and may have found those trails with a bunch of rowdy frat boys, but that's a story for another day.
The Seacoast of New Hampshire's foliage has a gorgeous background of the ocean that makes for a perfect Instagram photo any time of the year.
Coos County, at the top of the state, has some untouched special places that are beyond beautiful. The population is less than the Southern part of the state, so - less people, more beauty. Worth the drive in the Fall.
The trees look different up there. The more North you get, the pointier that top of the trees get.
There is never a bad day to go on a hike in the Fall here in New England. If the temperature starts to drop, you might need to bundle up and wear your cramp-on's, but do try to get outside. It sure is a pretty place.
