How Much Will You Pay for Those Delicious Olive Garden Breadsticks?

There's no denying it.  We love our pasta and bread sticks here in New Hampshire, but how much, exactly, will we pay for them?  According to an article by thestreet.com, Olive Garden plans to increase its menu prices across the nation, including its three New Hampshire locations in Newington, Manchester, and Nashua.

New Hampshire residents will continue to go to Olive Garden, and to be honest, we probably won't even notice the price increase.  The restaurant has become a favorite for the whole family.

Here's Why Prices Are Increasing at Olive Garden:

  • The company is responding to the country's record inflation.
  • They cite a survey that says 68% of consumers prefer to get their food from the grocery store instead of restaurants in an effort to cut costs.
  • They also say that 67% of consumers think that dining out is already too expensive.
  • There is a noticeable decrease in consumers dining out, especially those who have a household income of under $75,000.

Olive Garden's parent company, Darden Restaurants, reported its earnings at $11.4 billion dollars during the 2024 fiscal year, according to the article.  We sure do love those meatballs, oh yes we do.

The Manchester Olive Garden location was my family's go-to when we lived in the Queen City.  We had two boys; one was a vegetarian, and Mommy (me) was usually looking for a glass of wine in a casual atmosphere.  Olive Garden checked all those boxes for us.

Since that time, the Newington Olive Garden location has become our go-to.  My mother-in-law, Kitty, loves the endless salad and breadsticks.  As a matter of fact, whenever we have a family get-together, instead of making a salad, she will order one via takeout and bring that.  I kid you not.
