An airport in New Zealand, according to the-independent.com, created a rule that says if you hug your loved one in the drop-off area for more than 3 minutes, you'll be asked to please, take it somewhere else or even fined.

Should Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts, adopt the same policy?

There is a sign in the New Zealand airport, according to the article, that says "max hug time 3 minutes."  It goes on to say "for fonder farewells, please use the car park."

People are in such a hurry these days to get where they are going.  In some major airports in the UK, they charge 7 pounds for the "briefest of stops,"  known as "kiss and fly" charges.

You can't put a time limit on hugs, it's true, but who would you hug for three minutes?  If you put a stop-watch to it, it's a long time.

It does bring up the question, should Logan Airport have this same policy?  If you've ever been to Logan, you know how crazy it can get, but I think it would only get crazier if this whole, hug quickly and take off thing applied.
Have you ever been to Logan?  Even as it is now, people are incredibly impatient in Boston.  There is no way that anyone would stay in the drop-off lane and hug someone for over three minutes.
Knowing that this rule applied would only encourage New Englanders to yell at fellow travelers to move along like we yell at the opposing dugouts at Fenway Park.
I am not a fan of putting a limit on love.
