Holiday movies are some of the best movies ever. Despite their age, certain holiday movies remain the most important movies circling that holiday.

Take Elf for example. Sure it was released in 2003, but that movie will be the most popular Christmas movie ( in my opinion) until 3033.

Halloween movies are no different, despite there being far fewer.

One of the most popular Halloween movies ever, "Hocus Pocus," is terrible. If you want to know why I think that, read here.

Instead, I think one of the greatest Halloween movies ever made is "Beetlejuice."

The 1988 comedy/horror classic starring Michael Keaton holds a bit of nostalgia for me, as I have seen it so many times, met characters at Disney World dressed as Beetlejuice, and - it is just a good movie.

What I did NOT know about Beetlejuice, until I heard that a sequel, "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice," was being made, is that the 1988 film was shot in New England.

This is all timely as the sequel just premiered and is now in theaters.

Both films, the first and second Beetlejuice, were filmed in East Corinth, Vermont.

According to a CN Traveler article, the town only has about 1,500 people, but many have flocked to the tiny VT town to see the actual set.

If you see the second Beetlejuice, "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice," be sure to look for hidden Vermont logos, shops, and buildings in East Corinth.
