Beloved Dover, New Hampshire, Restaurant is Back With a New Look
It's hard to see a restaurant we know and love close their doors even temporarily. I think we all have trust issues after seeing many restaurants claim to be closed temporarily and then we never hear from them again. Next thing you know the building is knocked down and they are building condos in it's place.
We all remember Louie's in Portsmouth that closed after the State Street Saloon fire in 2017. They said they were going to be closed for just a few weeks. They have yet to reopen and it's 2025. (Granted they are supposed to be reopening very soon and we're all jazzed up about that. Details here:

But back to the restaurant at hand, I am referring to Christopher's Third Street Grille in Dover, New Hampshire. I will always hold this restaurant fondly in my heart. When I first started on the morning show I got a teensy apartment in downtown Dover over an antique shop. I was all moved in and hungry so I walked down the street to Christopher's.
I sat at the bar, all by my lonesome since I didn't know anyone in town yet. Everyone at the bar was SO friendly I remember leaving there feeling like I met a handful of new besties. It was truly a breath of fresh air coming from living in Boston for years where no one wants to make small talk with a stranger under any circumstance. It was such a warm welcome to living in New Hampshire, I'll never forget it.
And now, fast forward to 2025, Christopher's was closed for a few weeks to get a little glow up. She's reopening on Monday 6/16 with a new pink look!
According to the comments the people are psyched and can't wait to eat at their belove Christopher's again and enjoy their new and improved look.
