This pollen here in New Hampshire is just crazy.  If you suffer from allergies, you might be in really rough shape right now because of the yellow dust that all over everything.  Where does this yellow dust come from exactly and is this the worst it's ever been?

According to pollen.com, at the time of this writing, the pollen level for the Concord, NH area was over 9.0, mostly 10+ for the past 22 days. On May 20, 2026, the pollen index was 11.6.  (It goes to 11!)

For this week, expect the pollen levels to be above 10+ every day.

There are people on Reddit who said the yellow dust is from Pine pollen, produced by conifers meant for the survival of the species.  But it's not just pine pollen.  This time of year, everything is in bloom.

If you suffer from allergies, my sympathies to you. Get yourself some Zyrtec or Claritin, an air purifier and stay inside with the windows closed.  Omg... that just sounds awful.

I have been blessed with not having pollen allergies, but Mother Nature gets me when she can.  Remember the poison ivy attack ON MY FACE?  She's the boss and will remind you when necessary.
