According to WMUR, the Anheuser Busch plant is closing in the early part of this year.

How many jobs will be lost in NH as a result of the plant closing in Merrimack?
Merrimack is one of those places in the Granite state that still feels small. According to the report, the city has about 30,000 people, but it doesn't feel that big. The plant closing will be felt by the Community.
Locally, the plant employs about 124 jobs. The company said that it would offer those full time employees other opportunities if they want to relocate. They would also receive a stipend, (a/k/a money to relocate) and new job training, if needed.
If the employees don't want to relocate, they will receive a severance package.
The Anheuser Busch Plant Was a Cool Place for the Whole Family to Visit
The brewery was a cool place to go to even if you weren't old enough to drink I remember being just kid and my sister Heidi gave tours all around the plant. It was cool to see her take control of the crowd, (something she is still very good at) but it was also really interesting to see all the huge VATS that produced all those boozy suds that ended up in the bottles of my Mom and Dad's store on Pine Street in Nashua.
The Clydesdales Used to Train at the Merrimack, NH Facility
Back in the day, the Clydesdales used to train in Merrimack and you could go see them in the stables. You could even take pictures of the beautiful beasts and the world famous wagon that they pull. A few years ago, however, the training facility and the horses relocated to Missouri.
Why am I getting teary-eyed over this one? I don't think I'm alone. It is a big part of that area.
