We Sadly Said Goodbye to These 4 New Hampshire Restaurants in August 2025
Saying goodbye isn't easy.
Unfortunately, for four New Hampshire restaurants, that's exactly what we had to do as they closed their doors for good in August 2025.
A pizza place, a vegan cafe, a small restaurant serving French cuisine, and a high-end eatery with a tavern feel ended their respective runs in the Granite State.
New England Pizza & Roast Beef in Rochester, NH, Closed in August 2025
In a Facebook post, New England Pizza & Roast Beef in Rochester revealed that with "much love and gratitude," they would be closing on August 29.
It had been open for nearly 30 years.
Owner Jay Picard said in the post that he's enjoyed bonding with the community and appreciated "all of those who have stuck by my side throughout my time of being open. As well as those who have come in, even if that may have only been once."
The Smoking Trout in Marlborough, NH, Closed in August 2025
According to My Keene Now, The Smoking Trout closed on August 17.
The news outlet reported that "rising costs of food, goods and services ... made operations unsustainable."
The Marlborough restaurant had only been open for about three years.
The Green Beautiful in Manchester, NH, Closed in August 2025
The Green Beautiful in Manchester announced in an Instagram post that its final day of business would be August 10.
The vegan cafe had previously posted on the social media site that it was hoping to find new ownership, but that unfortunately didn't happen.
This local spot opened in 2022.
Bridge Street Bistrot & Wine Bar in Portsmouth, NH, Closed in August 2025
Bridge Street Bistrot & Wine Bar shared on its website the announcement of its permanent closure as of August 13.
This would mark the end of a 30-plus-year journey for its owners and the building, which has gone through multiple iterations, including the former Cafe Mirabelle.
The silver lining? Despite the sale of the 64 Bridge Street location, the owners hint at a "next dining adventure" in the future. So something to look forward to!
