We don't know about you, but we love museums.

Not only are they excellent places to expand your knowledge of people, places, events, and artifacts of the past and present, but there truly is a museum out there for everyone, no matter your interests.

We've already shared some of the many amazing museums that Boston, Massachusetts, has to offer. And soon, we'll be adding a new one to the mix: The Museum of Illusions.

The Museum of Illusions is the "largest and fastest-growing chain of privately held museums in the world", according to their official website. It continues to grow in popularity, drawing in millions of visitors to "over 40 locations across 25 countries." But what exactly is it?

A press release quoted by Boston.com shares details provided by CEO Rob Cooper of parent company LOL Entertainment. He encourages museum visitors to:

...explore the mysteries of vision, the science of perception, and the power of the human brain in a playful and interactive environment.

At the time of this writing, the NYC location is closest to us here in New England.

But not for long.

According to Boston.com, the Museum of Illusions will be opening a brand-new Boston location in "Marketplace Center, adjacent to the Rose Kennedy Greenway and Faneuil Hall Marketplace." We don't have an exact opening date at the time of this writing, but we do know that it will be sometime in late 2024.
