Wholesome Video of Newmarket, New Hampshire, Police Department Saving Five Baby Ducks
When I lived in Boston you rarely heard about local police rescuing animals that were in distress. In New Hampshire, it is not uncommon for a police department to be all hands on deck to save a horse that is on the loose, guide a moose back to safety, or reunite a lost piglet with his mama. It's all in a day's work!
It is always so wholesome to see stories about local police departments coming together to help and animal who needs it.
Yesterday morning at around 8:45, Newmarket, New Hampshire, police department received a report about baby ducks that had become trapped in a storm drain on Weaver St. They knew immediately what needed to be done and so they sprung into action!
They also used the situation as an opportunity to playfully poke fun at their counterparts from Newmarket Fire Rescue. They did EVENTUALLY arrive to help.
In total, five ducklings were safely rescued from the drain and re-united with their mother, just in time for Mother's Day.
Maybe it is because I've been watching too much Ms. Rachel with my toddler so therefore my brain is broken but this story immediately made me think of the song "Five Little Ducks" and now I won't be able to get it out of my head for the rest of the day.
And if you clicked that video above, now you won't be able to either. You're welcome!
Great job Newmarket, New Hampshire, police department for reuniting this sweet family of ducks. It was just the wholesome content we all needed to see.
