Words can't describe how much our pets mean to us.

They're our best friends, close companions, and often (scratch that, always) better listeners than people. A pet brings so much joy to your life, enriching it for the better.

With that said, the New Hampshire SPCA needs your help.

Due to three separate back-to-back incidents in the span of four days, the Stratham shelter has seen a massive influx of new residents – 36 cats, 19 rats, and 30 finches, to be exact. And that's in addition to the animals already in their care. In total, 200+ furry and feathery friends are currently living at the SPCA. That is an absolutely staggering number.

But that's where you come in.

The SPCA is looking for adopters to bring these loving animals into their lives and homes. More information was provided in the below Facebook post, along with photos highlighting some of the animals up for adoption.

You can see all of the available animals here.

Do any of these cuties catch your eye? This writer loves the bright smile of Butch the Australian Cattledog, the cheeky Lovebirds Keira and Xander, and Thistle the "Velcro kitty". Not to mention, the adoptable rats and other rodents have the best names ever.

Interested in adopting one of these guys/gals? The SPCA's Adoption Center is open from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. six days a week (excluding Wednesdays). Click here for more information.

If you're not looking to adopt a pet right now, you can also contribute to the shelter's wish list here.

Oh, and one more thing. We wanted to give a quick shoutout to all the hardworking shelter staff and volunteers for taking care of these sweet animals and helping them find new homes. The work they do is unmatched, and they deserve the best.
