Jack White Crashes Neighborhood Potluck, Nobody Recognizes Him

Some might choose to spend the first weekend of October picking pumpkins, drinking cider or other fall-centric activities. Others yet may get the whole neighborhood together for some fun amid the changing leaves. Such was the case for Jack White, who, after years of missing out on his annual neighborhood potluck in Nashville, decided to stop by and visit with other residents -- and went completely unrecognized by his neighbors.

It wasn’t until Jebediah Jenkins -- whose mother organizes the yearly event -- received a photo of the neighborhood gathering that the rocker was spotted. Per his Instagram, Jenkins suspects White lives in a historic house just down the street from his mother’s home. “We’ve never really spotted that neighbor,” Jenkins writes. “But we have from time to time heard guitar coming from the garage.”

According to Jenkins, White introduced himself to his neighbors (“Jack White, nice to meet you”) and offered his apologies for his long overdue hospitality. Check out the photo below:

It’s somewhat incredible White was able to finally make time for the potluck considering his schedule is as full as ever. White and his Dead Weather bandmates just returned with Dodge and Burn, their first album in five years.

Although the Alison Mosshart-led outfit won’t tour behind their latest LP, White is ever busy with his many and varied Third Man Records projects. He recently produced a new single from Courtney Barnett at his Nashville studio, and Third Man will soon put out a new turntable specifically designed for young, burgeoning vinyl collectors.
