Maine Dog Will Star In This Year’s ‘Puppy Bowl’ On Sunday
It's that time of year again. We've watched the New England Patriots take down opponents to get to another Super Bowl. Their 3rd visit in a row in 4 years. An incredible task by any means. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are headed to their 9th Super Bowl appearance and they will take on the Los Angeles Rams Sunday at 6:30.
For the past 15 years, which is still a shorter time than Brady and the Patriots have been winning Super Bowls, Animal Planet has aired their version of the big game known as the Puppy Bowl. It's not just cute little pups running around, this game helps to bring awareness and promotes partnerships between shelters like the Animal Refuge League. The Puppy Bowl is two teams of adorable, adoptable puppies facing off inside a puppy sized stadium for the coveted title of Puppy Bowl champion. And this year a puppy from Maine will be competing.
CBS13 did a story on Flora, the so cute lil pup who came to Maine from a partner shelter in Georgia. If you would like to sponsor Flora for the Puppy Bowl you can meet with shelter staff in Portland at the Animal Refuge League. Although Flora has already found her forever home, shelter staff say there are plenty of other pups at the shelter waiting for you.
The game will take place at 3pm Sunday, February 3rd on Animal Planet.
