Maine Seafood Joint Opens in Denver to Record Number of Lobster-Loving Fans
A new restaurant in Denver that features Maine seafood recently opened to crowds of lobster-loving Colorado residents.
The Maine Shack opened for business on July 30th, and according to an article on 5280.com, it was an instant success. The restaurant served up roughly 500 lobster rolls to nearly 600 people. The website says that's about 200 pounds of lobster on their first day in business.
The new restaurant is decked out with all things Maine. Just like a little chunk of the state was picked up and moved out to Colorado. Lobster traps are all around and the famous light house is proudly displayed on the wall.
The menu looks like any menu from a Maine seafood joint complete with New England Clam Chowder, with oyster crackers of course, Lobster Mac & Cheese, Lobster Bloody Mary's and of course the Lobster Rolls with the lobster being shipped there from Greenhead Lobster in Stonington, Maine, which ships 200 to 300 pounds of the seafood to Maine Shack daily, according to the article.
