Maine State Champion Windham Little League Softball Team Raising Money For Regionals

On July 13, The Windham Little League All-Star Softball Team beat Ellsworth to become the Maine State Champions. The next stop for these 10, 11, and 12 year-old ladies is Bristol, Connecticut for the East Regional Tournament. In order to make the trip, a GoFundMe has been started to raise the cash needed to send the champs to the next round.

Here's the final pitch of the game against Ellsworth on Tuesday.

Money donated to the GoFundMe will pay for travel and hotel expenses and help to outfit the team. They're looking to raise $15,000 and as of this writing, they are just over the halfway point at $7750.

There's a quick turnaround as the regional game versus New Hampshire takes place on July 24 at 4 p.m. If you have ESPN+, which is included with the Disney+ and Hulu bundle, you'll be able to watch the game live.

How cool would it be to see these all-stars bring home the trophy and keep moving up in hopes of becoming World Champs?
