Stream and Download Metallica’s Shows in Copenhagen + Netherlands
Metallica have been touring for much of 2022 already, first opening the year with a gig in Las Vegas and then running around South America for several dates. In May, they rocked a couple of festivals on both U.S. coasts and then kicked off their European tour a few days ago.
That show—their headlining gig at the first night of Copenhagen's metal festival, COPENHELL, on June 15, 2022—is now available to stream and download at LiveMetallica.com or via nugs.net.
This was a pretty epic concert. As Metallica put it, "After closing the better part of a billion shows, "Enter Sandman" was moved up to slot number three" in the setlist. And even more astonishing than that was the fact that Metallica closed the night with "Master of Puppets"—the first time they did this since 1997.
There were a few other great surprises at the show, including Metallica playing "Trapped Under Ice," which at the time was only the 23rd time they had ever performed it live. They also pulled out the dynamic Load track, "Bleeding Me," which was the first time it found itself on a regular tour's setlist in 13 years.
In addition to their European tour opener, Metallica have released the download and stream for their subsequent show on June 17 at the Pinkpop Festival in Landgraaf, Netherlands. Get details on how to stream and download that concert, also at LiveMetallica.com and nugs.net.
Metallica have a handful of dates left in Europe, including Hellfest in France on June 26 and the Mad Cool Festival in Spain on July 6. They return to the states for their final three shows of the year: Chicago, Buffalo and Pittsburgh. You can grab their full tour schedule here.
