Miller Lite Cancels Free Beer on Leap Day Promo After Shooting

In celebration of Leap Day Miller Lite announced they were giving away free 24-packs of beer. All you had to do was buy the beer, upload your receipt to their social media via QR code and they would reimburse you the cost through PayPal.

Earlier this week there was an active shooter at the MolsonCoors corporate campus who took the lives of 5 employees according to NBC News. The shooter was also an employee and took his own life.

According to WFRV there has been no announcement of a reschedule for the promotion.

So, no free beer, but you can still have some Leap Day fun as the day only comes once a year every 4 years!:
