Mom from Iowa Wins Lottery, Donates to Maine Foundation That Helps Wounded Veterans
Lerynne West, a 51-year-old single mom from Iowa won almost $344 million from Powerball. She is paying it forward to help wounded vets here in Maine!
She is giving the Travis Mills Foundation a HALF A MILLION DOLLARS! Obviously, that thrilled Travis Mills! Travis is quadruple amputee from his third tour in Afghanistan. He is one of only 5 quadruple amputees to survive the war and is giving back with his foundation that helps any wounded veteran.
Lerynne was on Ellen yesterday and according to NewsCenter Maine told the story of how she took a break from unpacking after just moving, to grab a piece of pizza at a convenience store and bought a lottery ticket.
What an amazing way to pay it forward!! Thank you Lerynne for helping vets and the Travis Mills Foundation!
