NBA's G League is starting to gain more and more notoriety, and one of the most interesting teams in the league this season resides right here in Portland. The Maine Red Claws will feature several Celtics prospects, including elusive guard Tremont Waters, and the intriguing 7-foot-7 Tacko Fall, who will unquestionably be the most popular player in Red Claws history. Because of the interest in the league and specifically Fall, the Red Claws are about to have their most visible season ever.

NBC Sports Boston announced that they will be televising 24 of the Maine Red Claws 50 regular season games this season. That includes the Red Claws home opener on Friday, November 15th. Last season, NBC Sports Boston televised a handful of Red Claws games late in the season.

The Red Claws were in the news earlier in the day on Tuesday after they were officially sold to the Boston Celtics. At a press conference announcing the change in ownership, it was announced that the Celtics have no plans to move the Red Claws out of Portland and instead will work to make the franchise a staple of the city.
