A recent Realtor.com article talks about the 2022 Hottest Zip Codes in the entire country, and let's just say that New England successfully cleaned house for a lot of it.

But what exactly designates a zip code as 'hot'?

Well, according to Realtor.com, two factors were considered in deciding which places made the cut. The first was market demand "as measured by unique viewers per property on realtor.com," and the other was the number of days these listings remained active online.

The site also mentions that "many of this year’s zips are within regular or occasional commuting distance of high-cost metros and priced lower than their immediate surroundings, enabling buyers to marry location and value." You'll see that this makes sense after looking at what places made the list.

So, enough of our chatter. According to Realtor.com, the hottest New England towns are Auburn, ME, at #10, North Attleborough, MA, at #9, Hooksett, NH, at #8, Windham, ME, at #5, Derry, NH, at #4, and finally, Nashua, NH, coming in at #2.

The non-New England places that took the remaining spots are Brighton, NY, at #1, Worthington, OH, at #3, Bethlehem, PA, at #6, and Johnson City, TN, at #7. Funny enough, both Brighton and Bethlehem are still in the northeast, meaning that eight out of the ten towns (including the ones in New England) are in the same region.

Way to go, New England. We love seeing you represent, and this list is pretty gosh darn impressive.
