Cindy Williams and Lee Nelson moved to Maine when they were just 25 years old...

They both landed at News Center Maine (although called WCSH6) 25 years ago. The married couple both worked in the news for decades in Portland. Lee retired recently to move onto modeling and training. We got to see some of Lee's awesome abs when the news broke.

Now it's Cindy's turn. For the past 20 months, as we all dealt with the global pandemic, Cindy also was dealing with back issues. In that time she has had two back surgeries. No small matter. She's not going to sit on her couch and sew quilts, she is still going to be very active as she says in her goodbye video on Facebook.

32 years anchoring the news in one market is pretty incredible. Actually, it's almost unheard of these days. It's like seeing your favorite restaurant close. You are so grateful that they were around, but boy will they be missed.

Thanks Cindy and congratulations to an amazing 32 year career in our living rooms. You will truly be missed.
