Party City Reopens Inside Staples Stores Across Maine

Just about two years ago, those that regular used and counted on Party City for everything from balloons to themed birthday supplies were shocked to find the retailer in deep financial trouble.

Party City ended up filing for bankruptcy protection and agreed to close all of their stores nationwide in the process.

It seemed at the time like it was the end of Party City all together. But it wasn't.

Party City has taken a page out of the Toys 'R Us comeback playbook, teaming up with another large retailer in hopes of bringing Party City back to life.

Party City Opens in All 9 Staples Locations Across Maine

According to Retail Dive, Party City and Staples have come to an agreement to open a condensed version of the party supples store inside many Staples location across the country.

That includes all of the 9 existing Staples locations in Maine. You'll be able to find Party City in Auburn, Augusta, Bangor, Biddeford, Brunswick, Falmouth, Rockland, South Portland as well as Windham.

By the end of the year, Staples hopes to feature Party City in every single location across the country.

The Smaller Party City in Maine Will Offer Balloons, Decor and More

While traditional Party City stores were vast, the condensed versions inside Staples plan to bring their best-selling items back to life.

That includes helium balloons and balloon bouquets. The smaller Party City will also feature cards for celebrations, various party decor and supplies and seasonal items including when Halloween season returns.
