Pats Linebacker Calls It A Career [VIDEO]

The end of an era has arrived in New England as Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo announced on instagram that he is retiring after eight seasons in the NFL.In a 90 word statement with the caption "RETIRING A PATRIOT" Mayo said the following.

Mayo finished the last 3 seasons on injured reserve because of injuries that have limited his contributions to the defense. This season Mayo played in every regular season game before suffering a shoulder injury that kept him out of the playoffs.
