Pawsox Win Title, Lavarnway Named MVP [VIDEO]
The Pawtucket Red Sox are Triple-A International League champions for the second time in the last three years, winning Saturday's night's winner-take-all game five 4-1. Ryan Lavarnway was named series MVP. Keith Couch, who spent all season as a Portland Seadogs starter was the game five winner. He threw 6.2 innings of shutout ball.
Lavarnway hits a home run(above) and finished the Governor's Cup finals 10-for-22 with two homers, two doubles and three RBI.
Cuban outfielder Rusney Castillo had two doubles, a walk and a stolen base.
The Pawsox will play one more game - a winner-take-all game vs the Pacific Coast League Triple-A winning team.
