Peek Inside The Veteran Owned Brewery Coming to Portland, Maine
Stars & Stripes
Stars & Stripes Brewing is a veteran-owned Brewery that has called Freeport, Maine home since Veterans Day in 2018.
Their motto? "Enjoy your beer, that's an order."
The veterans behind Stars & Stripes wanted a place where veterans and military families could go to feel understood and among those that "get it" when it comes to the complexities of military life, and specifically, the transition into civilian life. It's invaluable to be surrounded by people who understand you and your circumstances without you having to explain a thing.
Stars & Stripes is also a place for the non-military community to enjoy a brew and show their support as a percentage of their proceeds benefit veteran organizations.
All of their brews have creative names as a nod to military culture. Try Semper Fi.P.A, Private Pilsner, Crayon Crusher, Stout & Give Me 20 and so many more!
The Freeport location will often host food trucks and they're located next to Antonia's Pizzeria who give 10% off to Stars & Stripes' patrons.
This veteran-owned brewery has seen so much success since 2018, a particularly impressive feat considering the last two years, that they are now opening their 2nd location in Portland, Maine.
Old Port Location
Stars & Stripes has been busy at 3 Spring Street in the old Lio Restaurant space doing updates and renovations to make the space their own.
No official opening date has been announced yet but by the looks of the space, it shouldn't be much longer!
Check out the new digs! Tons of natural light, great use of space. We can't wait! Cheers!
