Planet Shark Opens This Weekend At Portland Science Center

We're all fascinated by sharks. Some people are so afraid of sharks that they won't go in the ocean (thanks Jaws) and others aren't bothered by the thought of a shark taking a bite out of their leg or ripping an arm off.

We're pretty lucky here though, we don't hear of sightings or shark attacks very much in Maine. Until this weekend..

The Portland Science Center goes into the deep blue with Planet Shark: Predator Or Prey opening Saturday.

Now you can safely come face to face with a Great White without even getting your feet wet! Immerse yourself in the exhibit and see shark models cast from real animals, an unbelievable collection of real teeth and jaws, and extremely old and rare fossils, some up to 370 million years old!
