There's been a lot of action going on at the Rock Row complex in Westbrook, Maine, recently and plenty more still to come.
In February, the state-of-the-art sprawling medical campus that is home to New England Cancer Specialists, the Dempsey Center and others officially opened its doors.
There's another grand opening on the horizon for the Rock Row development as well. A fast-growing national chain that is set for its first location in the Pine Tree State.
Playa Bowls Sets a Grand Opening Date For Rock Row in Westbrook, Maine
Playa Bowls is a national fast-casual health chain. They offer up specialties like acai and pitaya bowls, juices, smoothies and more. They'll be opening in the suite next to Starbucks as park of the Rock Row development.
The chain operates several locations throughout New England but their first Maine location will officially open on Saturday, April 26.
The Next Phase of Development At Rock Row is Under Construction
While Playa Bowls is another intriguing addition to Rock Row, there is more coming. According to the Portland Press Herald, Cinemark has agreed to a deal that will see them open their first Maine location in Westbrook as part of the Rock Row development.
Beyond the new movie theater, there will also be a massive new restaurant as well. That restaurant will offer patrons a unique "open flame" dining experience. The entertainment sector of Rock Row is expected to open sometime in 2026.
