It appears that nobody does grand openings quite like Rock Row in Westbrook, Maine.

A few years ago, people waiting in line for hours during the grand opening of Chick-fil-A at Rock Row. The excitement for the fast food chain was expected but the results exceeded what people even imagined.

While it wasn't quite Disney World for a day in Westbrook, another booming chain restaurant opened their doors at Rock Row over the weekend and it's quite clear people were very excited for it.

New Jersey-based Playa Bowls opened their first location in Maine over the weekend. Despite unsettled weather, a line stretched around the building at Rock Row as enthusiastic guests wanted to get a taste of what Playa Bowls is all about.

Playa Bowls is a fast-casual health food chain. They serve a large variety of bowls that feature acai, pitaya (dragonfruit) banana, coconut as well as several other options for add-ons. Playa Bowls also offers coffees, smoothies and juices as well.

Playa Bowls Has Caught On Fast Throughout The Northeast

For many people in Maine, the grand opening of Playa Bowls at Rock Row was their introduction to the chain. But Playa Bowls is in the midst of an aggressive expansion across the east coast, especially in the northeast.

The chain already has multiple locations in neighboring New Hampshire and based on the opening day response in Westbrook, more locations of Playa Bowls in Maine is highly likely in the not-too-distant future.
