Playmakers Pizza & Pub in Portland, Maine, Set For Soft Opening

There are lots of different parts of Portland, Maine, to explore. Some of those areas often don't get the attention they deserve.

If you haven't been to the outskirts of the city recently, you've likely missed some work being done on the Portland Sports Complex.

Part of that renovation is bringing a brand new pizza and pub restaurant to life called Playmakers.

And now, they've officially opened their doors.

Playmakers Pizza and Pub Holding Soft Opening in Portland, Maine

According to Portland Food Map, the owners behind popular Westbrook, Maine, spots like Legends Rest and Paper City Barbecue are bringing another new place to the area, Playmakers Pizza and Pub.

It's part of the Portland Sports Complex located on Warren Avenue.

Playmakers will be feature pizza by the slice as well as a traditional pub fare like burgers, chicken sandwiches, nachos, wings and more.

Playmakers features a family-friendly dining area as well as a sports bar for those looking to sit back and watch the big games on big screens.

Playmakers is currently holding a soft opening from March 18 through March 21 before announcing a full grand opening.

The Portland Sports Complex is Home to Several Other Businesses

If you're unfamiliar with the Portland Sports Complex where Playmakers will be located, there are several other businesses that call it home.

One longtime tenant is the Fitness Factory. The 24-hour gym has been operating at the Portland Sports Complex for years.

Another is the Goldfish Swim School, which offers swimming lessons to children up to 12 years old.
