The dual strikes of frigid outdoor temperatures and limited indoor seating have created numerous challenges for Seacoast restaurants this winter. Fortunately, with the inevitable thaw of early spring, many restaurants are coming out of hibernation.

Kittery’s ever-popular The Black Birch announced this week that they are ready to open up their outdoor seating patio tonight, Friday, April 2.

After months of primarily takeout only, the Maine eatery will resume serving up their unique brand of sophisticated comfort food.

“We are excited to be reopening our outdoor dining for the spring/summer season!” said owner Benjamin Lord. “We want to get back outside and help rekindle—and add to—what was an incredible summer vibe along the Kittery Foreside last summer!”

The Black Birch is located at 2 Government Street in Kittery, Maine.

Outdoor seating is first come, first served for dinner, Tuesday through Saturday.
