Popular Soup and Sandwich Shop Opening on Main Drag in Old Orchard Beach, Maine
If you typically visit Old Orchard Beach during the height of the summer, you know the main drag is bustling with plenty of food options. Most of those options center around pizza, French fries, lobster rolls, and ice cream. According to Saco Bay News, there will be a new option for those seeking soups, salads, and sandwiches, as a popular shop is moving right to the center of town.
Shared on Facebook, the Red Door Market and Deli is planning on moving their popular shop from their Saco Avenue location to a new spot at 39 Old Orchard Street. The move will give the Red Door additional space for their rapidly growing business. It will almost assuredly give them a new customer base, as the Red Door will be far more visible to tourists during the busy summer months.
The move will also give Red Door Market and Deli a chance to expand their offerings. Most of the favorites that have existed on their menu will remain, but they plan to cater to the grab-and-go culture that exists during the busiest time of year in Old Orchard Beach. They'll offer grab-and-go sandwiches and salads as an alternative to pizza and fried foods often found on the strip. Not only that, but Red Door Market plans to unveil something they call "beach charcuterie" for the summer, a mix of meats and cheese perfect to chow down on while beachside.
The Red Door Market and Deli is currently renovating their new space, and hopes to have an official opening date soon.
