AEW Bringing Live Televised ‘Dynamite’ Episode to Portland, Maine

For decades, Maine has been home to incredibly loyal professional wrestling fans.

Several independent companies have operated in or come through Maine on a regular basis. The interest in professional wrestling has grown enough that South Portland is home to a pro wrestling training school.

Despite the love and adoration for the business, Maine has been bypassed by pro wrestling companies over and over again when it comes to one specific kind of event.

A live, nationwide televised show. It hasn't happened in Portland, Maine, since 1997.

But that's about to change.

All Elite Wrestling Will Hold Live 'Dynamite' Episode in Portland, Maine, on May 20

All Elite Wrestling is set to make its debut in Vacationland in a big way by bringing a live episode of their signature television show "Dynamite" to Portland, Maine, on Wednesday, May 20 at the Cross Insurance Arena.

Live episodes of "Dynamite" typically feature some of the top talent on AEW's roster including MJF, Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay, Thekla, as well as Jon Moxley amongst others. The card is subject to change for the May 20 date.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, April 10 at 10am.

AEW Stars Have Been Performing in Maine Recently For Limitless Wrestling

While All Elite Wrestling has never officially held an event in Maine, many of their stars have performed in the state over the last year or so.

Limitless Wrestling has held events throughout the state featuring some AEW Talent including the AEW World Champion MJF, who defended his title at a Limitless event in Lewiston, Maine, earlier this year.

More recently, AEW stars like The Butcher and the Blade as well as Alec Price wrestled at a Limitless event at Thompson's Point in March.
