According to a study by moveBuddha, Portland ranks #25 on the list of top cities people are flocking to in 2024. Will these numbers prove to be true? Well, the inventory has been low and prices have been high so it will certainly be interesting to see as new data is released. 

What’s the big draw? If you live here or have just visited, Portland has it all: breathtaking coastlines, vibrant cultural offerings, a killer food scene, craft breweries everywhere, and easy access to outdoor adventures like hiking and skiing. Throw in the laid-back lifestyle and high quality of life, and you’ve pretty much got a recipe for relocation gold.

You may also be aware that the pandemic also turbocharged Portland’s popularity. With remote work becoming the norm, people realized they could ditch the chaos of big-city life for a more affordable, picturesque setting and an easy-living lifestyle. Portland became a prime destination for those trading their cramped apartments for ocean views and more space to breathe.

Portland’s high rank isn’t shocking, but as I mentioned, it does highlight a growing issue: inventory. The housing supply here has been tight for a while, making it a challenge for buyers to find (and afford) their dream homes.
