Do you remember that restaurant that used to be across from the Greyhound bus station on Congress Street called Sportsman's Grill? If you're lucky enough to have eaten there then you'll be thrilled to hear the news that two guys, Paul and his son Rocco Severino, are opening what they call "an homage to Portland's old Sportsman's Grill." And the name certainly rings a bell; Sportsman's Kitchen & Keg.

The location will be on Sebago Lake and they're planning to open up shop by this summer.

Paul is the son of the late John “Sonny” Severino who ran the former Sportsman’s Grill on Congress Street for 50 years. Sonny along with brothers Jim and Tony ran the Sportsman's Grill from 1952 to 1986, when he took over the business with Paul. They operated the restaurant until 1999.
